Nestled in the peaceful village of Shillingford, The Elms is a spacious Georgian country house designed for families and groups looking to relax, spend quality time together without feeling rushed or crowded, and make lasting memories together.
Surrounded by some of South West's most beautiful landscapes, The Elms is perfectly placed for discovering Devon and Somerset. Exploring Exmoor National Park, the Blackdown Hills, and the Quantock Hills. Explore charming market towns, or head to the coast for sandy beaches and seaside days. Or simply 'stay put', relax in your garden, listen to birdsong, and enjoy the rare luxury of doing very little.
Just 2.3 miles from the local town of Bampton, and 9 miles from Tiverton, shops, pub, resturants and supermarkets are all within easy reach.

Easy to reach from Bristol, London and the South West
Despite it's peaceful countryside setting, The Elms is conveniently located for guests travelling from across the UK. Situated near Bampton in Mid Devon, we're around 45 minutes from Exeter and Taunton, 1 hour from Bristol, and approximately 3 hours from London by car. Tiverton Parkway railway station, with direct services to London Paddington, is also within easy reach, making The Elms an ideal base for family gatherings, celebrations, and countryside escapes.
